Cupuaçu butter has been shown to soothe, nourish and protect the skin against water loss. Moisture is bound in the skin, the skin's lipid barrier (stratum corneum) is strengthened and the skin's natural collagen production is supported. The specialty of cold-pressed Cupuaçu butter is its unusually high water absorption capacity of approx. 240%.
